Canada Without Poverty, Part II

A Focus on Charity & Justice

What are the similarities and differences between charity and justice? Are they two sides of the same coin? This webinar addresses what our engagement in anti-poverty work looks like from both a focus on charity and a focus on justice. Presenters Darlene O’Leary (Citizens for Public Justice) and Megan Hooft (Canada Without Poverty) lead participants from a faith foundation and a focus on faith in community, through a brief look at the impact of power and privilege.

Moving towards a way of seeing people through a human rights lens, participants learn how we can respond in ways that are just and responsive to the real needs of people impacted by poverty. Anyone involved in anti-poverty work (or wanting to be), including those with lived experience of poverty, are invited to download and view this free webinar.
